Conservative or Cancel Culture?

This guy argues that if the Smithsonian is taxpayer funded it should be able to withhold funds in exchange for “pure ideology” Fundamentally flawed because “taxpayers” are all of us with a diverse range of views on what ideology we need to promote. He argues that historians need to “spin” history to be more positive of America’s image. I would argue that you can both be proud and concerned about what we have done in our past without denigrating the US. It’s the more patriotic way to approach our checkered past
